Opera

Webstore Limited Edition — 5 Discs

1987 · Directed by Dario Argento · United States edition

4K UHDIn print

A young singer’s arrival at an opera production is followed by a sequence of threatening and violent events in Dario Argento’s thriller. Severin’s limited package gathers multiple cuts and a large collection of interviews alongside printed material and music. The disc breakdown matters: this is a five-disc mixed-format set, including a soundtrack CD, rather than five UHDs. The current listing also identifies regional differences among the accompanying Blu-rays.

CHECK THE EXACT EDITION

This limited version differs from Severin’s smaller three-disc UHD package. Confirm the five-disc box and booklet with third-party sellers.

THE CURATOR’S NOTES

What makes this edition different?

This edition is most relevant to a collector who enjoys comparing versions and spending time with production history. The breadth of supplements and inclusion of a music disc offer several ways into Argento’s work beyond the feature itself. Read the exact format allocation before ordering, and make sure that your player supports the Region A bonus discs if importing. The label calls the package a webstore exclusive limited edition but does not state a numbered run on the listing. Its appeal can be assessed through the included materials without inventing a scarcity figure.
