What Disc Curator stores, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
About this notice
This notice describes the current Disc Curator website at disccurator.com. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate the site, receive corrections, and provide the features you choose to use.
Your saved shelf and comparison
When you save an edition or choose releases to compare, the site stores edition identifiers in your browser’s local storage. This is a functional feature, not advertising tracking. The list is not uploaded to a Disc Curator user account and does not synchronize between devices. Clear your shelf using the site controls or delete site storage in your browser to remove it.
Search and filter choices appear in the page URL. Please do not put sensitive personal information in a search field.
Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we save your name, email address, message, and submission time on our server so the site operator can review and respond to the note. Do not include payment information or other sensitive details. We use a short-lived session cookie on the contact page to protect the form from forged submissions. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite.
To limit spam, the form keeps a keyed hash derived from the connecting IP address in a short rate-limit window. The hash is used for request limits rather than advertising or cross-site identification. Contact messages are retained only as needed to handle the inquiry and related corrections. You may request deletion through the contact form; identifying details may be needed to locate the message.
Hosting and server logs
Our hosting infrastructure processes information needed to deliver and protect the website, including requested URLs, IP addresses, browser information, response codes, and request times. Standard web-server logs may contain this information. Access is limited to operating, troubleshooting, and securing the service; we do not sell personal information.
Analytics and advertising
At launch, Disc Curator does not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts and edition images are served by this website. If advertising or analytics is introduced, this notice and the relevant choices will be updated before activation.
If Google advertising is added, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies based on prior visits to this and other websites. Relevant vendor details, consent choices, and opt-out links will be provided at that time. Google offers controls at My Ad Center and information on advertising technologies.
External websites
Links to labels, retailers, and reference material open websites with their own privacy practices. Disc Curator does not control their cookies, accounts, checkout, or fulfillment. A link click can send the destination website ordinary browser and request information.
Your choices and questions
You can browse without using a saved shelf or submitting a message. Your browser controls cookies and local storage. For a question about data you have submitted or a request to correct or delete it, use Contact & corrections.
