VSU 2026 Limited Slipcase Variant

4K UHDOut of print2,000 COPY EDITION

This later Road House variant repackages Vinegar Syndrome’s existing UHD release in a new hard slipcase and slipcover combination. The label states a two-thousand-copy run and includes a forty-page book. Its significance for a collector is the packaging variation, not an announcement of an entirely new film restoration. Keeping it separate from the original deluxe box prevents two visually different objects from being collapsed into one catalog entry.

This is a packaging variant of the earlier UHD release. The label does not offer the new case separately.

THE CURATOR’S NOTES

What makes this edition different?

Collectors choosing between the two VSU packages should start with artwork preference and completeness. The smaller stated run gives this variant a clearly documented identity, but a lower number does not by itself make an edition the right purchase or establish a market value. Because the label describes the disc release as the one originally issued in 2022, owners of that earlier version should examine the packaging proposition carefully. For resale listings, request photographs of the exact hard case and book. A generic title or stock photograph may conceal which package is actually being offered.
